Reimagined camping lamp.
Astra is a 2-in-1 camping lamp that uses a single light source, allowing it to function both as a headlamp and as a lantern.
The vision.
The vision I had for this project was quite specific. A moodboard really helped guide me through that. Keeping the aesthethic while maintaing the function of my lamp was the hardest challenge of this project.
A lantern with a twist. Or not.
To use it as a retractable cord healdamp, Simply twist the modular component.
Or, you can just leave it as it is and use it as a lantern with a more diffused ambiant light.
Collapse it, and pack it!
To save space, Astra reuses the collapsible bowl design, but it's transluscent to make it work as a lampshade.
Headlamp, when?
When you want to use it as a headlamp, just pull the red plastic piece and the cord will retract. Then, place it on your head!
